This Privacy Policy explains how PuzzlePress Studio (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit our sales page, purchase our software, or use the PuzzlePress Studio application at puzzlepress.pages.dev. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to deliver and protect the product.
1. Information we collect
- Purchase information. When you buy, checkout and payment are handled by WarriorPlus and the payment processor (e.g. PayPal). They collect your name, email and payment details under their own privacy policies. We receive your name, email and transaction reference so we can deliver your license key and provide support — we never see or store your full card or bank details.
- License & device data. To enforce the per-license device limit, our license server stores a one-way hash of your license key (not the key itself), a random per-browser device identifier generated in your browser, timestamps, and the IP address seen at activation. This is used only for seat control and abuse prevention.
- Local app data. The application stores your license key and settings in your browser’s local storage on your own device. Your generated puzzles and PDFs are produced in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
- Support messages. If you email support, we keep that correspondence to help you.
2. How we use it
- To deliver your purchase and license key, and let you activate the app.
- To enforce the device limit and prevent fraud or abuse of licenses.
- To provide customer support and process refunds.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the product work — WarriorPlus (sales/affiliate management), the payment processor (PayPal), and Cloudflare (hosting and the license server) — and only as needed, or where required by law.
4. Cookies & tracking
Our sales page loads WarriorPlus scripts that may set cookies to attribute sales to the correct affiliate and run the checkout. We do not run additional advertising trackers. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
5. Data retention
We keep license and transaction records for as long as needed to support your license, handle refunds, and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law. Email us using the contact below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Children
This product is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
